Our latest finished project in Victoria county, Texas, this home in the Texas Hill Country vernacular was designed for a young couple who anticipated a growing family, with one young son and another baby on the way.

This frame with stone and stucco veneer home features extensive covered porches for outdoor living and cool refuges for adults and children from the summer Texas sun, including a semi-private patio for mom and dad. Inside, the children’s bedrooms, each with its own en suite bath, are on one side of the house and the master suite on the other.  The master suite includes a large walk-in closet and bath, with a walk-through corner shower and garden tub as the centerpiece.

Between the two bedroom wings is a large, open concept living area with cathedral ceilings, fireplace, and clear views of both front and back yards.  Small clerestory windows high on the front and rear walls allow for extra sunlight and complete the Hill Country house look.
